Course Description
This course will cover Articles 430 and 500 of the NEC relating to calculations and installation requirements for motors and motor control systems. Topics include definitions and terminology, motor nameplate requirements, calculating motor circuit conductors, branch circuit overcurrent protective devices, motor and branch circuit ground fault protection, installation of controllers and disconnects, sizing of fuses and circuit breaker and feeder tap rules. Supplemental handouts included in cost of course.
