First Aid/AHA CPR & Basic Electricity

Electrical Trainees are NOT eligible to receive continuing education credit for attending the First Aid portion, but may still elect to attend this class in order to receive their First Aid Certification.

Course Description:

  • AM: Mike Newhouse, owner of First Aid Northwest, leads this 4-hour First Aid/CPR class, essential for Electricians and Plumbers who are exposed to a higher-than-usual risk of hazards on the job-site. Students will have the opportunity to learn and interact through hands-on practice with an emphasis on quick response. Participants will receive a two-year first aid card and two-year rescuer-CPR card.
  • PM: This course is designed to provide a general understanding of Electrical Theory, National Electrical Code, and Safety requirements. The course also covers wiring requirements for household appliances such as water heaters, dishwashers, and garbage disposals. It is suitable for electricians, plumbers, beginners in the electrical industry, or those wishing to review the topic.
