Course Description
This course provides a practical approach to residential service sizing using NEC standards, starting with the application of Ohm’s Law and Power Law in basic load calculations. Participants will learn to complete the Standard Single-Family Calculation Worksheet step by step, covering lighting, receptacle, appliance, dryer, range, and motor loads, as well as applying demand factors, calculating feeder neutral loads, conductor sizing, and grounding requirements. The course also introduces Duplex and Optional Single-Family calculation methods, equipping learners with the skills to perform accurate, code-compliant residential load calculations. Supplemental handouts included in cost of course.
