Course Description
This comprehensive 8-hour course introduces participants to the key requirements of Article 625 of the National Electrical Code (NEC), focusing on the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The course also explores emerging technologies such as bidirectional charging and interactive energy systems. Participants will gain an understanding of critical electrical calculations, including circuit sizing, conductor and overcurrent protection sizing, grounding requirements, and the effective use of NEC Chapter 9, Tables 4 and 5. This course is ideal for electricians, involved in the planning or installation of EV infrastructure. Supplemental handouts included in cost of course.
